In our latest blog post we started our vegan burger series. We want to share our experiences with vegan burgers you find at your local grocery store.
We will try to taste them all, so you can get an idea of what to expect. Thankfully there are a lot of brands out there, so we are sure you will like at least one.
This time we chose Amy's vegan burgers, which are made with organic ingredients. This is what we think:
Amy's - All American Veggie Burger:
This is a well seasoned vegan burger, you can taste the hickory smoked flavor. We think this is a great option for a vegan BBQ.
Amy's - California Veggie Burger:
This was also a well seasoned vegan burger, we think the only difference it has compared to the all American is that this one doesn't have the smoky flavor.
Amy's - Black Bean Veggie Burger:
You can definitely taste the beans and it has a pleasant hint of spice, but we think it tastes a little bit like vegan bacon. If you like BBQ sauce, try it on this one. We enjoyed it.
Amy's - Sonoma Veggie Burger:
If you like the flavors (and health benefits) you get from quinoa and walnuts, then this is the perfect vegan burger for you. It's mildly seasoned so you can go nuts with the condiments.
Amy's - Quarter Pound Veggie Burger:
The seasoning on this patty is perfect; you will enjoy the hint of barbecue sauce with all the other flavors. It made us think of sweet potatoes.
If you are looking for well seasoned firm vegan burgers, made with all organic ingredients, then you should try Amy's vegan burgers. These vegan burger patties are so packed with flavor that condiments are optional. Also, since their texture is quite firm, these are also a great option for a vegan BBQ. Our favorites are the quarter pound and the black bean, so we recommend trying those two first.
